3M today introduced its new timer for drive-thru optimization, an economical alternative to more expensive real-time performance monitoring systems used by Quick Service Restaurants (QSR).

Featuring a bright LCD color coded display, the system quickly identifies drive-thru vehicle wait time and percent goal achieved – key factors in helping staff consistently achieve high efficiency. The system can be configured locally or remotely and allows flexible goal setting.

The 3M Timer is a paperless system. Drive-thru data – number of cars, average time and percentage attainment of goal – can be accessed via secure password for performance analysis. The system is fully functional for single or dual lane drive-thru operations and up to four coordinated displays can be connected throughout the work area for optimum service performance.

The 3M Timer works in conjunction with the 3M Wireless Communication System Model XT-1 and is the newest addition to the suite of drive-thru components 3M offers.
