-- Vote for your favorite hand hygiene video February 9 through February 22 --

Starting today, through February 22, 3M and the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) invite the public to vote for its favorite video to win the “It’s In Your Hands” YouTube™ video contest for perioperative professionals.

The AORN Recommended Practices Committee recently narrowed a group of 19 entries down to three finalist videos, which are now featured on AORN’s Web site – www.AORN.org. Finalists include:

  • Billings Clinic, Billings, Mont.
  • Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center, Chapel Hill, N.C.
  • John Muir Medical Center, Walnut Creek, Calif.

The public is encouraged to visit www.AORN.org to vote on their favorite of the three finalists. There may only be one vote submitted per email address. The ultimate winner of the “It’s In Your Hands” YouTube™ video contest will be the video that receives the most votes during the public voting timeframe.

The creators of the winning video will collectively receive a $5,000 educational grant from 3M that can be redeemed for any AORN program or service and/or may also be used to purchase AORN reference materials. The winning video will be announced publicly at the AORN Congress in Denver, March 13-18, 2010.
