Wayde McMillan will join 3M’s Health Care Business Group to serve as chief financial officer effective Nov. 1.
McMillan joins 3M from Insulet, an innovative medical device company improving the lives of people with diabetes and other conditions. He served as Executive Vice President, CFO and Treasurer since 2019. McMillan brings more than 25 years of leadership with innovative companies helping to drive profitable growth in ever-changing environments.

Prior to joining Insulet, McMillan was CFO and Vice President of Finance of the Minimally Invasive Therapies Group at Medtronic, managing an $8 billion revenue business with greater than 20,000 employees and a global finance team. He previously held leadership positions at Covidien from November 2006 until Medtronic’s acquisition of the company in January 2015, including CFO and VP of Finance of the Medical Devices Group and United States, CFO and VP of Finance of the Surgical Solutions Business Unit, and VP Finance and Controller of the Respiratory and Monitoring Solutions Business Unit. McMillan started his career in accounting, audit, financial analysis, and investor relations.
