Andover is Enjoined from Selling Infringing Product
3M announced today that it has concluded its lawsuit against Andover Healthcare Inc. with a Consent Judgment in favor of 3M and settlement that permanently enjoins Andover from making, using, offering for sale or selling its infringing Co-Flex TLC two-layer compression systems.
“The Consent Judgment entered by the court upholds our intellectual property rights and defends our inventive work that allows 3M to bring innovative and much-needed health care products, like 3M Coban brand 2 Layer Compression System, to the skin and wound care market,” said Paul Keel, president, 3M Skin and Wound Care Division. Compression therapy is important for the treatment of conditions including venous hypertension and venous leg ulcers, which are a serious problem for many patients, including the elderly and people with vascular disease or poor circulation.
Coban wraps and bandages are part of 3M's extensive line of trusted advanced wound care products intended to simplify and improve skin health and the treatment of wounds, both acute and chronic. These 3M products, which also include Tegaderm brand dressings, Steri-Strip brand skin closures, medical tapes, professional skin care, supportive foam padding and wound cleanser, help health care professionals to better care for their patients.
