- Allows transition to 3M solutions at prices paid to previous suppliers -

As part of an ongoing effort to help libraries deal with the challenging budget situations they face, 3M is pleased to announce the Library Commitment Program. This program allows libraries using suppliers other than 3M to begin purchasing security and self-service solutions from 3M at the same prices that were agreed upon with their previous supplier.

Library budgets are under duress and many suppliers to the library community are being faced with difficult decisions as a result of less budget monies being available. According to Matt Tempelis, 3M Library Systems business manager, “The landscape for suppliers in this market is constantly changing and libraries have seen consolidation impact their quality of service before. The 3M Library Commitment Program will allow libraries to move to 3M and help alleviate concerns libraries might have with their original vendors.”

Tempelis continues, “Libraries need vendors who are able to support and maintain the products they have chosen and are looking for safeguards to help protect the investments their communities have made. The new 3M Library Commitment Program helps ensure libraries can continue to meet their patrons’ needs with virtually no interruption.” 3M has been a partner to the library community for over 40 years and, because of its stability, can be expected to continue to be part of this community for many years to come.
