SATA and 3M Settle Patent Infringement Suit Regarding Paint Cup System

3M and SATA GmbH & Co. KG, manufacturer of the SATA RPS Rapid Preparation System, have come to an amicable settlement concerning patent infringement litigation brought by 3M in August, 2006 relating to 3M’s utility models covering its Paint Preparation System products. 3M manufactures and sells a disposable-cup paint mixing system under the brand name PPS™.

Under the terms of the agreement SATA has acknowledged the validity and enforceability of 3M’s utility models and corresponding patent rights worldwide.
