HighJump Software, a 3M company, a global provider of supply chain execution solutions, today announced Zoom Eyeworks has selected the HighJump warehouse management system (WMS) to support its rapid growth and expanding product lines. Zoom Eyeworks is a Berkley, Calif.-based non-prescription eyewear company that distributes to mass market, grocery, drug, gift, specialty and independent retail stores nationwide. With growth rates in excess of 25 percent annually for the last three years, the company selected the HighJump solution to enable it to scale with its expanding numbers of customers, breadth of distribution channels, and increasingly complex requirements.
Zoom Eyeworks began its search for a warehouse management system after an acquisition increased its SKU count tenfold. With more than three million units in inventory and 10,000 active SKUs, the company’s growing distribution operations required a higher level of SKU and inventory control, and its current ERP system didn’t include key warehouse management functionality. The HighJump warehouse management solution will automate workflow and manage value-added services such as tagging and packaging.
After implementing its HighJump WMS, Zoom Eyeworks expects to achieve significant upgrades critical to its continued growth, including labor savings, decreased throughput time, increased fill rate, and improved inventory accuracy at the bin level. The company also expects the solution to increase visibility, driving informed decision-making across the company. Marketing, purchasing, sales and other departments will have visibility to product inventory levels and be able to manage kitting of product launch supplies, such as displays, signage and point-of-sale material.
