3M Introduces Full Brim Hard Hat with Advanced Features

Hard-hats have been an integral piece of personal protective equipment on jobsites for decades. Here at 3M, we believe you shouldn’t have to settle for outdated hard hat technology. With engineering advancements in suspension design, a lightweight shell, and a patented ultraviolet (UV) indicator, the NEW 3M™ H-800 Series Full Brim Hard Hat helps alleviate workers’ frustrations with hard hats on the job.

The H-800 series hard hat introduces an innovative design that offers full-brim protection, a smooth ratchet suspension, and also boasts an optional 3M™ Uvicator™ Sensor that changes color when the hard hat is exposed to UV light. This feature helps alert the wearer when it’s time to replace the hard hat.

“Over time, the sun’s UV rays can cause a hard hat’s shell to become brittle and compromise its ability to protect the wearer,” says Chris Dujovski, Product Manager for 3M Head, Eye, and Face Protection. “Adding a sun-smart sensor to our H-800 series full brim hard hats helps provide an easily observable indication of when it’s time to take the hard hat out of service due to UV light overexposure.”

The H-800 series full brim hard hat is available in eleven different colors and can be customized with company logos.
