Two-Year Agreement makes 3M Health Care exclusive stethoscope provider for all military hospitals in United States, Europe and Pacific Region

3M announced today that the Department of Defense (DoD) has awarded 3M Health Care a two-year Enterprise Incentive Agreement (EIA) to provide 3M™ Littmann® Stethoscopes to all DoD medical treatment facilities in the United States, Europe and the Pacific region. The agreement was made effective on May 1, 2012.

3M has been a leader in auscultation technology (listening to internal sounds of the body) since the 1960s. Today, Littmann stethoscopes are internationally recognized as the gold standard for stethoscopes. Many of the newest models incorporate advanced 3M technologies, such as ambient noise reduction and wireless connectivity that enables other clinicians to hear the sounds remotely. The DoD agreement will include all 3M Littmann Stethoscopes including electronic stethoscope models.

3M Littmann Stethoscopes also offer valuable auscultation training and a body sounds library through the 3M™ Littmann® Learning Institute.
