At a meeting of institutional investors and analysts in St. Paul Thursday, 3M business leaders, including chairman, president and chief executive officer George W. Buckley, will outline the company’s progress on its growth strategy and provide insights on its plans for future accelerated growth.

“Our growth strategy and renewed focus on innovation are providing the momentum to transform 3M into a higher growth company,” said Buckley. “3M is unquestionably becoming a world-class growth machine fueled by leading-edge technologies and unmatched global strength.”

Buckley will highlight the key elements of 3M’s transformation including increased investment in R&D and new products, acquisitions, entry into higher growth markets and aggressive expansion in developing economies.

3M leaders from Brazil, China and India will provide insights into significant opportunities in those countries. In addition, business unit leaders will describe in detail how 3M’s growth strategy is being realized in businesses such as industrial adhesives and tapes, electronics, renewable energy, automotive OEM, occupational health and environmental safety, food safety and orthodontics.
