3M announced today that it has completed the acquisition of Nylonge Corp., a global provider of household cleaning products including cellulose sponges, scrub sponges and household wipes. Nylonge operations will remain in Elyria, Ohio.

This acquisition expands 3M’s global manufacturing capabilities adding another source of supply to continue building its global cleaning tools businesses. Nylonge’s line of products includes cellulose sponges, scrub sponges, sponge block, sponge cloth, dust cloths and vinyl gloves. Complementary acquisitions such as this support 3M’s core business. For more than 40 years, 3M has helped consumers clean with its well-known Scotch-Brite and O-Cel-O brand cleaning products.
