The Board of Directors of 3M (NYSE:MMM) today declared a dividend on the company's common stock of 42 cents per share for the third quarter of 2005 payable Sept. 12, 2005, to shareholders of record at the close of business on Aug. 19, 2005. This cash dividend is the 356th consecutive quarterly dividend paid by 3M.
