Electrochemical analysis, electrokinetic transport and capillary electrophoresis are just three microfluidic applications that can take advantage of new process and material combinations in microinterconnect technology. These technological building blocks for biochip medical electronics applications will be discussed in a presentation by 3M Electronics at the American Association for Clinical Chemistry's (AACC's) 2005 Annual Meeting and Clinical Lab Exposition in Orlando, Fla. The technical conference and exhibit will be held July 24-28 at the Orange County Convention Center.
The presentation "Polymer microfluidic devices with integrated electrodes" will take place July 26, at 8 a.m. as part of the conference's OEM Lecture Series. Nate P. Kreutter, advanced product development specialist, 3M Electronics, will discuss a variety of advances in flexible circuit technologies that can be used in combination for medical diagnostics applications, including polymer patterning, to ultimately create electrodes integrated with microfluidic channels.
