3M Introduces Rapid Readout Biological Indicator for Ethylene Oxide Monitoring
3M Attest Rapid Readout Biological Indicator for Ethylene Oxide Monitoring System Provides Results in Just Four Hours

Delivering confirmed negative test results in just four hours, the 3M Attest Rapid Readout Biological Indicator (RRBI) for Ethylene Oxide (EO) Monitoring System provides this result in three steps.

The Attest RRBI for EO monitoring system provides hospitals with a fast and accurate assessment of the EO sterilizer performance and sterilization effectiveness. The speed which results are achieved by the Attest RRBI for EO system allows hospitals to make faster decisions on when to reject or release products recently sterilized. Attest RRBIs for EO monitoring are a very cost-effective monitoring option.

"The Attest RRBI for EO monitoring system delivers fast, accurate results for assessing 100 percent and mixed gas EO sterilizers," says Kevin Habas, 3M sterilization market development manager, Medical Division. "This capability will help every hospital meet the growing need for increased speed of results which, in turn, allows for faster turnaround of critical instruments. They are available in boxes of self-contained BI's (3M Attest RRBI 1294), as well as in convenient test packs (3M Attest RRBI Test Packs 1298)."

The Attest RRBI for EO monitoring system requires only three easy steps: 1) remove a processed Attest RRBI for EO 1294 or Attest RRBI for EO Test Pack 1298 from a load, 2) depress the Attest RRBI 1294 cap and crush media ampoule and 3) place the Attest RRBI 1294 in an 3M Attest Auto-reader 290G. Negative results are complete in four hours. Positive results are available within four hours, as soon the Attest auto-reader 290G detects growth. The fully automated Attest auto-reader 290G provides an audible alarm, as well as "red-plus-sign" visual result when a positive Attest RRBI 1294 is detected.

The Attest RRBI for EO monitoring system is the latest addition to the industry leading 3M Attest biological indicator family of dependable products. Attest RRBIs facilitate accurate, rapid assessment of sterilizers, which increases throughput and increases inventory management and process control. The end result is higher-quality sterilization process and improved health care facility cost savings.

All Attest biological indicators are manufactured under ISO 9002-certified conditions, where strict quality-control procedures help reduce manufacturing variations. Attest biological indicators are backed by 3M's commitment to provide high-quality products, customer service and technical support.
