3M announced today that Michael L. Eskew, 53, Chairman and CEO, UPS, has been elected to 3M's Board of Directors.
Eskew has been appointed to serve on the Board's Audit and Public Issues Committees.
He became Chairman and CEO of UPS in January 2002. Prior to his current position, Eskew served as vice chairman and executive vice president. He joined the company in 1972 and has been a member of the UPS Board of Directors since 1998.
Eskew is a trustee of the UPS Foundation and the Annie E. Casey Foundation. In 2003, he was appointed to the President's Export Council and he also serves on the Business Roundtable.
