3M will donate up to $250,000 in cash and products to help with relief efforts following Superstorm Sandy. An immediate grant of $100,000 will be made to the American Red Cross. Products already donated to the Red Cross include: cleaning products, sponges, duct tape, hand sanitizer, work gloves, insect repellant and respirators.

In addition, 3M has donated medical supplies, including stethoscopes, to Direct Relief International, an agency that works with free clinics and other medical facilities.

3M will continue to work with the Red Cross and other nonprofit partners. As needs are identified, 3M is prepared to make additional donations, both at the national and local levels.
