Hurricane Laura made landfall in the U.S. last week, going from a Category 1 storm to a Category 4 storm in less than 24 hours. With winds reaching up to 150 MPH, Hurricane Laura destroyed homes and infrastructure in Louisiana and east Texas – leaving people in affected communities without shelter, power and water. The American Red Cross estimates that some areas may not have power and clean water for up to eight weeks, and recovery will take much longer.

3M is donating more than $400,000 in products to Direct Relief and MAP International to aid in relief and recovery work. Product donations include day/night safety vests, earplugs and consumer health care items such as First Aid tape, bandages, braces and other tapes. 3M Foundation is also providing a $25,000 grant to the American Red Cross to support on-the-ground efforts to make temporary shelter, food, water and other basic needs assistance available to those who need it.
